Hummus Dip with Tahini

…and here is how I used my tahini as soon as I made it! Home-made hummus is so much better than the store bought ones. No artificial ingredients and as much garlic as I like – A LOT! 😉

  • 1 can (400g/14oz) of cooked chickpeas
  • ¼ cup tahini paste
  • 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1-2 tablespoons of water
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
  • few coriander leaves

Drain the chickpeas and place in food processor. Add garlic, salt and coriander leaves and blend for 20 seconds. Using spatula, scrape the sides of processor bowl and blend again for 20 seconds. Add water, oil, lemon juice and blend for 20 seconds. Scrape the sides again and add tahini paste. Blend briefly until well combined. Transfer to an airtight container. Serve chilled.
